Marketing Monday - Gift Certificates with a Twist
By
Gift Certificates are a great way to boost sales and bring in new customers. Often a certificate is sent as a piece of paper or card, or is an email with a voucher code on it.
Recently, I have come across a couple of great ways of presenting gift certificates.
The first was at Lila & May. On Australia Day, they posted on their fan page about their Plantable Gift Certificates. Lucky recipients of gift certificates receive their certificate along with seeds of a Lemon-scented Bottlebrush. Receiving one of these gift certificates would certainly be memorable.
The second example was at The Phoenix Lunch last year. I won a gift voucher for an online shop. The voucher was printed then presented in a gift box with a ribbon around it. It didn’t get lost as a voucher in an envelope would have!
